With lemon and herbs. Option of white sourdough or seeded.

Chicken & Avocado Sandwich

Sourdough bread, roast free range chicken bread, thyme aioli, fresh avocado and rocket.

Australian grain-fed beef brisket and local ale (The Rocks Brewery) encased in hand-made puff-pastry.

Mushroom and Fine Herb Quiche made with free-range eggs with buttery shortcrust pastry.

Goat Cheese & Leek Quiches

An organic, free-range egg quiche filled with sautéed leek and goats cheese.

Japanese Chicken Curry

Free range chicken thigh and breast, braised with potato, carrot and ginger. encased in our rough puff, topped with Japanese bread crumb. We suggest eating with a big dollop of Japanese mayo and pickles.

Lamb Shank & Red Wine

Repeatedly named Sydney’s best pie, we take our famous pie pastry, fill it with organic, free-range lamb shank that has been braised overnight with red wine jus and herbs.

Lorraine Quiches

The classic quiche, made with free-range eggs and maple-smoked bacon from the  German Butcher with buttery shortcrust pastry.

Sausage Roll

Organic beef and pork, wrapped in flaky pie pastry.

Macadamia Brownie

The brownie is typically a North American dessert that is a cross between a cake and a cookie. Our version is gluten free and made with dark Valrhona chocolate and chopped macadamias to create a rich, fudgy and crunchy treat.


The staple of any sensible diet, our croissants are made with locally made cultured butter from Pepe Saya.

5. Cakes

Chocolate Hazelnut Torte GF

Not for the faint hearted, this one is one of the richest chocolate cakes in our range. Made with the boldest artisanal chocolate, this cake consists of four layers of hazelnut dacquoise, gianduja ganache and chocolate mousse, and dressed with chocolate ganache and gold leaf.

Pistachio Lemon Zen GF

Inspired by spring citrus, the Lemon Zen cake is built from layers of pistachio ganache, white chocolate mousse, lemon curd and crunchy pistachio dacquoise to create a light but well-rounded flavour profile featuring the tang of lemon and smooth richness of white chocolate.

Strawberry Watermelon Cake GF

Fresh, light and fragrant. Perfect for birthdays, weddings or just because, this has become Black Star Pastry’s signature and most requested cake. The Strawberry Watermelon Cake consists of two layers of almond dacquoise (like a meringue), rose-scented cream, watermelon, strawberries and garnished with pistachios and dried rose petals.
